Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer for Prominent Hill, based on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Adelaide or Port Augusta. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant contract management and strong governance across mining contracts, interfacing with operations and contractors.

You will drive performance, cost efficiency and safety, building partnerships with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with Copper SA objectives and site governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in contracts administration and governance in mining, resources, or heavy industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with governance and performance outcomes.
• Understanding of procurement and contract frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant, and effective delivery of site contracts per obligations.
• Support Copper SA Contractor Management Framework onboarding, mobilisation, assurance and compliance.
• Act as a key interface between site operations and contractor partners with field presence.
• Monitor contractor performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, reliability, and cost.
• Provide commercial support through budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, contract administration and reporting.
• Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, high-performing culture across site teams and contractor groups.
• Support governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across the operation.
