BHP Group's Copper SA operation at Prominent Hill in South Australia seeks an Emergency Services Officer to join the safety team on an 8 days on/6 off roster, FIFO from Adelaide or Port Augusta.

You will respond to fire, rescue, HAZMAT and medical incidents, maintain readiness, run exercises, and contribute to workforce safety initiatives.

Formación

• Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent) required.
• Certificate IV in Health Care (or equivalent or higher qualification) required.
• Current HR Driver’s Licence and C Class licence are required.
• AHPRA registration or similar emergency health qualification is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergency incidents across surface and underground operations, including fire, rescue, HAZMAT and medical emergencies
• Maintain operational readiness through equipment inspections, testing, maintenance activities and competency-based training
• Deliver and participate in emergency exercises, simulations and capability development programs for emergency response personnel and volunteers
• Support site safety initiatives through field observations, inspections and verification of critical controls
• Contribute to emergency preparedness and workforce health and safety programs across the operation
• Continue developing your technical capability through ongoing training, learning opportunities and professional development pathways
• Promote a proactive safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across site

Conocimientos

Certificate III in Emergency Response

Certificate IV in Health Care

Current HR Driver’s Licence

Current C Class Driver’s Licence

AHPRA registration as a Paramedic orRN

Experience underground mining

Drug and Alcohol Testing

Emergency services experience
