Job summary

Maintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to support contract and procurement activities across a Major Projects Portfolio. The role focuses on tendering construction contract works and services, followed by post‑award administration and close‑out.

You’ll develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages, negotiate commercial terms, support contract execution and assess claims to support decision‑making. Perth based, 12 months+ with ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in contract administration within mining or civil construction.
• Experience across SMP and EIC works.
• Experience managing construction contracts from tender to close-out.
• Ability to develop and evaluate construction tender packages.
• Strong negotiation of terms, conditions and price.
• Post-award administration and contractual correspondence.
• Understanding of construction programs and extension of time claims.
• Identify contractual risks at pre-contract stage.
• Strong documentation capability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages for construction contracts, procurement and services
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including price, to support project schedule and budget requirements
• Develop clear, well-structured contract and procurement documentation that supports project requirements
• Apply a detailed understanding of construction programs and extension of time claims
• Mentor and train junior members of the team
• Support contract close-out following completion of works
