Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global leader in General Insurance to appoint an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand.

You will act as a 2IC and provide training and mentorship to analysts, report to the Head of Compliance, and collaborate with key stakeholders to foster a robust compliance culture and align with the Three Lines of Defence model.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Law degree and have strong experience in compliance, legal risk, or regulatory roles.
• Deep knowledge of Australian and New Zealand regulatory frameworks and breach reporting obligations.
• Proven track record in compliance incident management and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand.
• Oversee compliance incident and breach management, investigations, reporting and regulatory notifications (ASIC/APRA, GICOP).
• Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory compliance advice to internal units on day-to-day operations and initiatives.
• Assist with compliance risk assessments, control reviews, and monitoring regulatory changes.
• Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management, risk committees and the Board.
