Job summary

Ambition Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a market-leading international professional services firm in Sydney for a Compliance Manager. You will lead two Analysts, act as the primary compliance advisor to the sales team, and drive AFSL framework, risk matrices, and breach reporting in line with ASIC guidelines.

You will investigate complex complaints, manage IDR and AFCA escalations, and oversee training and monitoring for ARs, with regular risk updates to executives including the CFO and

Qualifications

• Hands-on operator
• Experience supervising/mentoring 12–18+ months
• Background in commercial regulatory compliance (law or related)
• Experience with commercial legal practice/operations, insurance, consumer claims, or B2B professional services
• Ability to collaborate with sales while upholding regulatory integrity

Responsibilities

• Lead two Compliance Analysts and mentor their development
• Serve as primary compliance advisor to the sales team and resolve operational queries
• Maintain AFSL compliance framework and risk matrices per ASIC guidelines
• Lead investigations into complaints, manage IDR and AFCA escalations
• Oversee compliance monitoring, registers and training for ARs
• Prepare monthly risk reports for CFO, Sales Director and Risk Committee
