Job summary

Downer, a major ASX-listed infrastructure and services provider, is seeking an experienced VC/Collaboration Engineer to lead enterprise video collaboration and meeting room technology within Group Technology in Australia. You will shape the collaboration strategy, drive standardisation, and deliver reliable, scalable experiences across multiple sites.

You will partner with Workplace Services, Architecture, Cloud and Security to modernise collaboration services, champion automation, and support

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in CS, engineering or related discipline.
• Microsoft Teams and collaboration platform certifications.
• 10+ years in enterprise collaboration or workplace tech.
• Experience with Teams Rooms and enterprise meeting room tech.
• Experience modernising legacy video conferencing environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
• Experience with automation and DevOps delivery models.
• Exposure to AIOps and AI-enabled collaboration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering and lifecycle management of enterprise video collaboration and meeting room tech.
• Define standards, patterns and deployment models for Teams Rooms and collaboration environments.
• Drive Teams-first meeting experiences and standardised room tech across the org.
• Provide technical leadership across meeting room platforms, services, interoperability and UX initiatives.
• Escalation point for complex collaboration incidents in meeting rooms and video services.
• Improve room health visibility, observability, analytics and proactive monitoring.
• Lead collaboration transformation initiatives including room refreshes and platform upgrades.
• Champion automation, repeatable deployment standards and DevOps-aligned practices.
• Partner with vendors and MSPs to optimise outcomes.
• Promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
