Job summary

Central Leagues Club in Newcastle is seeking a hands-on Club Services Assistant to support opening procedures and daily operations. You will work with the Duty Manager to ensure the venue is ready for trade, maintain high presentation standards, and deliver friendly service to members and guests.

Morning shifts start at 7am; occasional weekends and extra hours may be available for the right candidate. Experience in clubs or hospitality, cash handling, and RSA/RCG compliance are essential to

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a club, hotel or hospitality environment (essential).
• Current NSW RCG and RSA competency.
• Experience with cash handling, cash reconciliations and clearances.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and take initiative.
• Reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support fellow team members.
• Must be able to work morning shifts starting at 7am.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and additional shifts when required.

• Completing gaming and cash clearances accurately and in accordance with club procedures.
• Supporting staff and providing guidance where required.
• Assisting with general club operations and maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service to members and guests.
• Following club policies, procedures and responsible service requirements.
• Working collaboratively with the Duty Manager and wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Working alongside our Duty Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the club is opened correctly, prepared for the day ahead and operating smoothly. The position is primarily morning shifts, with additional hours and weekend work available for the right candidate.
