Job summary

Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Senior Chef to support the Head Chef and deliver exceptional cuisine across member dining, events and regattas in a premium waterfront setting.

You will lead by example in a busy kitchen, contribute to menu development, manage daily operations, and uphold food safety and WHS standards. The role offers a stable, long-term opportunity within a respected hospitality venue. Competitive salary band AUD 75k–80k plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on kitchen experience in a busy hospitality environment.
• Ability to lead and support a Head Chef and kitchen team.
• Experience developing seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Solid knowledge of food safety practices and WHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, in-house prepared meals in a premium waterfront venue.
• Lead by example in a hands-on kitchen role.
• Assist with menu development, seasonal menus, and daily specials.
• Help build and maintain a strong kitchen culture.
• Support rostering, labour management, and kitchen performance.
• Assist with food cost control, purchasing, and stock management.
• Maintain best practice food safety and WHS standards.
