Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Royal on the Waterfront in East Perth. This high-volume waterfront venue delivers quality food, functions and events with a fast-paced, dynamic operation.

You will lead everyday service, functions and major event periods, driving labour efficiency, GP and consistency. The role requires 5+ years in senior kitchen leadership and a hands-on, proactive management style in a busy kitchen.

Lead the kitchen of one of Perth’s standout waterfront venues. Set on the beautiful Claisebrook Cove in East Perth, Royal on the Waterfront is a high-volume venue delivering quality food, functions and events against one of Perth’s best waterfront backdrops. From weekend breakfasts through to busy lunches, dinners and major event periods, Royal offers a diverse and fast-paced kitchen operation with plenty of opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to make their mark.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead an established kitchen team and bring a fresh set of eyes to the operation. The venue has a steady team in place, so this is an opportunity for a strong leader to build on what’s already working, continue driving standards and look for ways to improve the kitchen and food offering. You’ll be responsible for leading the kitchen across everyday service, functions and high-volume event periods while keeping a close eye on labour, GP, quality and consistency.

About You

You’ll ideally bring 5+ years’ experience in a similar senior kitchen leadership role, with the confidence to lead a busy operation and maintain high standards through demanding service periods. We’re looking for a leader who is:
