Lead the kitchen of one of Perth’s standout waterfront venues. Set on the beautiful Claisebrook Cove in East Perth, Royal on the Waterfront is a high-volume venue delivering quality food, functions and events against one of Perth’s best waterfront backdrops. From weekend breakfasts through to busy lunches, dinners and major event periods, Royal offers a diverse and fast-paced kitchen operation with plenty of opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to make their mark.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead an established kitchen team and bring a fresh set of eyes to the operation. The venue has a steady team in place, so this is an opportunity for a strong leader to build on what’s already working, continue driving standards and look for ways to improve the kitchen and food offering. You’ll be responsible for leading the kitchen across everyday service, functions and high-volume event periods while keeping a close eye on labour, GP, quality and consistency.

About You

You’ll ideally bring 5+ years’ experience in a similar senior kitchen leadership role, with the confidence to lead a busy operation and maintain high standards through demanding service periods. We’re looking for a leader who is:

• Calm under pressure and able to lead confidently during high-volume service
• Driven by high standards, with a strong focus on food quality and consistency
• Detail-oriented and organised across kitchen operations
• Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of labour, GP and kitchen costs
• A strong people leader who can develop and motivate an established team
• Hands-on, accountable and proactive
• Confident managing functions, events and multiple service periods
