Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Case Manager to oversee a portfolio of complex Comcare workers compensation claims end-to-end. You will act as a technical specialist, guiding Case Managers on complex matters and contributing to claim strategy within the Bank's framework.

You will manage end-to-end claims, make determinations under the SRC Act 1988, and drive durable return-to-work outcomes while supporting quality assurance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant Comcare and SRC Act 1988 experience.
• Ability to manage complex and disputed claims.
• Strong technical judgement and practical advice to Case Managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small portfolio of complex claims end-to-end from commencement through determination and dispute processes.
• Make determinations on claims in line with the SRC Act 1988 guidance and review status and liability.
• Develop and regularly review strategic rehabilitation plans driving safe return-to-work outcomes.
• Exercise delegations across claims and rehabilitation, including payments within authority.
• Provide technical guidance to Case Managers on complex matters.
• Collaborate with the team on claim strategy and problem-solving.
• Support quality assurance and auditing activities.
• Communicate with claimants, internal stakeholders, senior management and legal teams; represent the Bank at conciliations and tribunals.
