Job summary

VACCA - Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency in Morwell seeks a Senior Case Manager to support Aboriginal children and families in the protection system. The role emphasizes applying Cultural Therapeutic Ways, trauma-informed practice, and collaboration with government and partner services to achieve safe, sustainable outcomes.

You will lead a high-impact team, mentor staff, and contribute to culturally safe, client-centred service delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work degree or similar welfare/behavioural related degree.
• Valid Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian Working with Children Check for paid employee (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian Driver Licence. COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with Aboriginal children and families and government/sector partners to improve outcomes.
• Apply Nugel’s Cultural Therapeutic Ways approach in case management.
• Support Team Leader and supervise senior staff; manage a higher workload where required.
• Develop and maintain accurate case notes, plans and court reports.
