Job summary

VACCA - Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency in Wangaratta/Wodonga, VIC, Australia, is seeking a Case Manager on a fixed-term basis (to June 2027) to engage Aboriginal families with children 0-18 years and support safe, healthy family functioning. The role aims to prevent child removal and assist reunification, reporting to the Strengthening Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Community Services or related field is desirable.
• Experience in child protection and Aboriginal family work preferred.
• Understanding of strengths-based, trauma-informed practice and evidence-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Engage Aboriginal families with children 0-18 to support safe, healthy functioning.
• Prevent removal of children and support reunification for those in out-of-home care.
• Work within a cohesive team reporting to the Strengthening Team Leader.
