Job summary

Webuild Group in Darwin is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead sourcing activities and negotiate complex commercial agreements for the Darwin Ship Lift Facility. You will work with the Procurement Manager, Commercial Team and Project Leadership to ensure procurement outcomes align with project objectives.

This is a high-impact role within a major marine infrastructure EPC project, offering exposure to diverse categories across construction, equipment, materials and subcontracted services, with a FIFO

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating complex supplier and subcontractor contracts.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial risk and procurement governance.
• Proven ability to lead procurement activities from market engagement through to contract award.
• Experience in EPC, construction, infrastructure, mining, energy, oil & gas or major projects environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities from market engagement through to contract award.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project delivery requirements.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead contract negotiations to achieve favourable commercial outcomes for the project.
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation, tender documentation and commercial recommendations.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Ensure contractual compliance and manage procurement-related risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to understand and plan procurement requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and contract obligations.
• Support claims management, dispute resolution and commercial issue management where required.
• Contribute to procurement reporting, forecasting and cost control activities.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and contract records in accordance with project requirements and Clough Operating Standards
