Job summary

Queensland Government, Rockhampton, is seeking a Senior Business Support Officer to lead professional business support services at the Rockhampton Business Centre. As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will lead the delivery of professional business support services within the Rockhampton Business Centre. Working within Customer Services, Priority Initiatives and Customer Connect, you will supervise a small team, coordinate operational support activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support customer-focused service delivery.Your day will involve leading customer service operations, coordinating staff rostering and development, implementing local processes, managing business registers and reports, overseeing assets, fleet and accommodation resources, supporting procurement activities and ensuring services are delivered in line with departmental standards. You will also provide guidance to staff and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.Success in this role comes from strong communication skills, sound judgement, the ability to manage competing priorities and a commitment to leading people and delivering quality outcomes. You will build capability in your team while maintaining effective business operations and customer service excellence.
