Job description

Department of Resources QLD – Rockhampton QLD

As a Senior Surveyor (PO4), you will lead the day-to-day operations of a team delivering surveying services for land-related matters across Queensland. You will oversee technical work, undertake surveying projects, provide specialist cadastral surveying advice and support change initiatives that strengthen team performance and service delivery.

In this role, you will supervise a multidisciplinary team, support emerging surveying technologies, contribute technical expertise to enhance cadastral surveying practices and deliver projects that support business improvement and reform. You will communicate complex technical information, maintain survey infrastructure integrity, foster productive relationships with industry stakeholders and mentor surveyors to build capability and professionalism.

Success in this role comes from combining strong leadership with technical expertise. You will build a positive team culture, manage multiple priorities, provide sound advice, and help drive innovation and continuous improvement in surveying services across Queensland.
