The Company

The Opportunity

Your key responsibilities will include managing the commercialisation of research, generating new collaboration and partnership opportunities, and managing existing deals and contracts with internal and external stakeholders.

• Negotiate IP licensing and other commercial agreements with commercial, academic, and government entities, with guidance from BD and Entrepreneur Leads, in collaboration with the Legal team.
• Develop and implement commercialisation and business plans under guidance from BD and Entrepreneur Leads.
• Establish new partnerships and business development initiatives aligned with the institute's strategic plan, involving internal stakeholders.
• Design and deliver presentations and pitches about the institute, research programs, and translation opportunities to potential partners, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, capital, and industry groups.
• Create and promote seminars on specific business development areas in collaboration with the Partnership and Ventures team.
• Build and maintain relationships with academic organisations, funding agencies, and government bodies.

The Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
• Tertiary qualification (preferably PhD) in life sciences or equivalent, ideally with experience in commercialisation or translational research.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience delivering high-quality outputs within deadlines.
• Ability to develop productive professional relationships that lead to commercial success.
