Job summary

AECOM is seeking a skilled Structural Designer with 7 to 15 years of experience in materials handling projects to join our team in Australia.

You'll use AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, and Revit for design and 3D modelling, collaborate with engineers and designers, and contribute to high-quality project outcomes. Hybrid work arrangements are available, and we value proactive problem-solving and independent task ownership.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Structural Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Advanced Steel for structural design and detailing
Proficiency in Revit for concrete design and detailing
Between 7 and 15 years of experience in structural design, specifically in materials handling projects
Certification or training in AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, Revit, or other relevant design tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed structural designs and drawings for materials handling projects using AutoCAD and Advanced Steel & Revit
Create and manage 3D models for steel structures & concrete, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications
Proactively identify design challenges and propose innovative solutions
Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers and other designers, to deliver cohesive and coordinated project outcomes
Take ownership of assigned tasks to deliver results with limited supervision.
