Job summary

Avina is a national allied health and behaviour support organisation serving communities across Victoria. We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner for the North East Melbourne team, with access to the Northcote clinic on High Street as your base.

Flexible across clinic, community and hybrid work, you will support participants where behaviour support makes the greatest impact. You will join a genuinely multidisciplinary team including OT, Speech Pathology and other

Qualifications

• NDIS practice at Core level or above is required.
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
• Strong understanding of person-centred and evidence-informed behaviour support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support across home, school, clinic and community settings.
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-informed Behaviour Support Plans.
• Support participants with autism, intellectual disability and complex behaviours.
• Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support teams, educators and other professionals.
• Provide coaching and practical strategies to the people supporting participants day to day.
• Manage a varied caseload with consideration given to location and experience.
• Work closely with OT, Speech Pathology and other allied health colleagues.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision, peer collaboration and professional development.
