Job summary

Avina is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a Melbourne Inner Southeast mobile, community-based role. You will support participants in homes, schools and everyday environments with an emphasis on autonomy over your schedule and caseload around your living area.

You’ll join a warm, growing multidisciplinary team of 12 clinicians across OT and Speech Pathology, with early to senior career levels. The role offers regular supervision and MDT collaboration to promote best practice.

Qualifications

• Current NDIS Commission suitability at Core level or above.
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle – this is a mobile community role.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share, learn and celebrate the wins with your team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support across home, school and community settings.
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans.
• Support participants across autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, developmental disability and complex behaviours.
• Collaborate with families, support networks and your broader multidisciplinary team.
• Manage a community caseload shaped around your location where possible.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision, mentoring and MDT collaboration.
