Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC is seeking an experienced field technician to perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on battery energy storage systems and associated HV/MV/LV equipment in a dynamic, safety-driven environment. You will troubleshoot issues, execute HV switching, and maintain detailed records while supporting commissioning and project handovers.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in energy or battery storage, holds an A-Class Electrician License with HV experience, and can read

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in energy, engineering or battery storage fields.
• Current A-Class Electrician License with HV experience.
• Experience in renewable energy maintenance and systems.
• Proficient in HV switching and safety compliance.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and service manuals.
• Willingness to travel and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and service BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with diagnostic tools.
• Perform HV switching per safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance, switching, permits and technical docs.
• Identify issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Support commissioning and validation of new installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders for safe operations.
• Assist project managers and handover processes to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare reports and update maintenance schedules and technical docs.
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulations.
