Job summary

Fluence is seeking an experienced field service electrician to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on battery energy storage systems and associated high voltage infrastructure across project sites in Australia. The role emphasizes safety, diagnostics, and timely issue resolution.

You will support commissioning, document tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet quality and safety standards. Travel to sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in energy, engineering and/or battery storage.
• Current A-Class Electrician License with HV experience.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and field service on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct HV switching in line with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, switching, permit, and technical records.
• Identify and address system issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Support commissioning activities, including testing and optimization of new installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support safe operations.
• Collaborate with project managers and commissioning teams to ensure smooth handover.
• Prepare reports and update technical documentation.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to BESS operations and HV systems.
