Job summary

Fluence Energy Pty Ltd. is seeking a skilled field service engineer to perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and associated HV/MV/LV equipment at site locations in Wellington, NSW.

The role involves on-site diagnostics, high-voltage switching, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance during operations. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in energy, electrical experience, HV switching proficiency and strong problem-solving,

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in energy, engineering or battery storage field.
HV experience and electrical commissioning knowledge preferred.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and service manuals.

Responsibilities

Perform field service, inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues using diagnostic tools.
Conduct and oversee high-voltage switching operations in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain maintenance logs, HV switching records and permit approvals.
Provide technical support during commissioning and testing of new BESS installations.
Collaborate with project managers and commissioning teams for smooth handover.
Prepare reports and update technical documentation; stay current with industry standards.
