Qualifications

• Experience in robotics design, automation systems development, control systems design, or related product development.
• 5+ years of experience developing manufacturing or industrial automation equipment.
• Experience developing custom automation from concept through production deployment.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, RS-485 etc.
• Knowledge of industrial safety, DFM/DFT, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience improving equipment uptime, yield, throughput, and cycle time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of custom manufacturing automation equipment.
• Develop automated assembly and test stations, fixtures, tooling, calibration equipment, and end-of-line systems.
• Design and integrate electrical controls, interface boards, wiring, sensors, motion systems, robotics, machine vision, and industrial hardware.
• Develop equipment automation using Python, PLCs, LabVIEW, C#, or similar platforms.
• Lead equipment commissioning, validation, qualification, and production readiness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, yield, cycle time, equipment uptime, and production scalability.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions and transition successful technologies into production.
• Establish automation standards and mentor engineers and technicians.
