Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Battery Lab Engineer to own lab test infrastructure for battery packs and PCBA testing. You will translate test needs into safe, repeatable setups and work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and data quality.

This hands-on role combines electrical engineering, test system development, and laboratory operations, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced space environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hardware development, test lab, or hands-on engineering in aerospace or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical test setups.
• Experience with electrical lab equipment: power supplies, loads, scopes, DMMs, DAQs.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering documents; strong testing mindset.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, battery safety, ESD, grounding and lab safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Own laboratory test setups for battery pack, PCBA, BMS, and subsystem testing.
• Design, build, configure, and validate test setups with cyclers, loads, and environmental chambers.
• Integrate battery hardware, PCBA interfaces, and sensors into complete test systems.
• Develop checkout procedures and verify test readiness before testing begins.
• Lead OK2Test activities and ensure data quality and instrument reliability.
• Troubleshoot test systems, instrumentation, and hardware failures; document issues and fixes.
