Sportsbet Pty Ltd. is seeking a predominantly backend-focused engineer to join our MarTech Platforms team in Melbourne. You will own end-to-end backend features and contribute to design reviews for scalable, reliable services.

You'll work with Java, Node.js, Kotlin and TypeScript, collaborating with Product, Delivery and QA to deliver robust solutions. A strong focus on cloud-native architecture and observability will be essential.

Formación

• Proven backend engineering experience with Java and/or Node.js.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Express and API development.
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL on AWS RDS and DynamoDB).
• Experience building cloud-based applications on AWS, with microservices, CI/CD and observability.
• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging systems; frontend exposure with TypeScript/React is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test and deliver clean, maintainable backend solutions with a focus on Java, Kotlin, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Independently analyse technical problems, identify dependencies and mitigate risks.
• Contribute to solution design, code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Build operational awareness through monitoring, incident response and automation.
• Collaborate with Product, Delivery, QA and other engineering teams to deliver outcomes.
