Sportsbet Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a predominantly backend-focused Engineer to join our MarTech Platforms space. You will deliver end-to-end features, contribute to design and reviews, and own the services you build. Strong focus on Java, Kotlin, Node.js and TypeScript, plus cloud/on‑prem architecture and observability.

You’ll work with Product and Delivery teams to ship reliable, scalable solutions, with hybrid work options in Melbourne. A mix of backend and frontend exposure is valued.

Formación

• Proven backend engineering experience with Java and/or Node.js.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Express and API development.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Experience building cloud-based apps on AWS; microservices, event-driven architecture, testing, and observability.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test and deliver clean, maintainable backend solutions.
• Analyse technical problems, identify dependencies and risks, and mitigate proactively.
• Contribute to solution design, code reviews, and operational ownership of services.
• Improve platform stability via monitoring, incident response and automation.
• Collaborate with Product, Delivery, QA and other teams to deliver outcomes.
