carsales is seeking a senior backend engineer to drive core services that connect consumer and dealer journeys across the platform. You’ll craft scalable backend systems in C#/.NET, own the lifecycle from development to production, and collaborate across product and engineering teams.

You’ll operate in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with in-person collaboration, and you’ll contribute to resilient data exchange and platform reliability.

Formación

• Experience developing backend systems in C#/.NET.
• Cloud deployment and operations experience, preferably AWS.
• Ownership of the full software development lifecycle.
• Fast learner with ability to adapt to changing needs.
• Strong SQL skills across relational and non-relational databases.
• Commitment to engineering best practices and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Use your expertise in modern agile practices to plan, build and support software that delivers quality at scale.
• Work with the team to drive the technical implementation of complex projects.
• Own the whole lifecycle of our services: write and ship them to production, run them, and act as first responder when they break.
• Shape requirements with product managers, looking beyond what's on the card to find the real business value.
• Be involved in all aspects of software engineering practice, including breaking down work, code review, testing, source control and build processes.
• Mentor and coach a team of engineers, giving constructive feedback and keeping standards high.
• Build mutual respect and trust with product managers, engineers, researchers and designers, and help shape team culture.
