Qualifications

• Strong C#/.NET back-end engineering: Core Services is about 95% back end
• Cloud build-and-run experience: you've shipped to the cloud and operated what you built, ideally on AWS
• End-to-end ownership: you work across the whole software development lifecycle
• Adaptable fast learner: a varied background that shows you pick up new technology
• Solid SQL and data storage skills across relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, DynamoDB)
• A passion for continuous improvement and best practice in engineering - Inclusive, interpersonal attributes that connect to our behaviours

Responsibilities

• Plan, build and support software that delivers quality at scale
• Drive the technical implementation of complex projects
• Own the whole lifecycle of services: write, ship, run in production and respond to incidents
• Shape requirements with product managers to find real business value
• Involve in testing, code review, source control and build processes
• Mentor and coach engineers to lift team's output and standards
• Build trust with product managers, engineers, researchers and designers and share knowledge
