Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks an experienced asset information professional to lead data governance and set data standards for road assets. You will ensure data quality supports informed decisions and long-term network performance.

You’ll define AIR, manage data integration with RAMS/SAP, and collaborate with Asset Custodians and RMR divisions to drive improvements and compliance across the regional portfolio.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, IT or Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed asset professionals and mentoring teams.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple divisions and disciplines.
• Deep expertise in asset information governance and data standards.
• Strong analytical skills to drive insights and outcomes.
• Experience with data quality assurance, audits and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain Asset Information Requirements (AIR), data standards and specifications in consultation with Asset Custodians across the network.
• Receive accepted asset information into the governed asset information environment, including results conversion and upload, resolution of orphan assets and reclassification.
• Lead data quality, audit and assurance reviews; analyse maintenance and pavement condition data to drive integrity and compliance.
• Support Annual Reporting, form development and work centre configuration, and RAMS updates across the network.
• Monitor data metrics, compliance and risk trends; contribute to prioritised improvement roadmaps.
• Engage Roads, Maintenance & Resilience (RMR) divisions as escalation point for asset information issues and quality feedback.
