Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning Victoria seeks an Assets Information Analyst to manage road asset data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with business needs. You will analyse both spatial and non-spatial data, produce reports and dashboards, and support improvements to data processes across Road's systems.

Ideal candidates have strong data skills, problem solving ability, and clear communication with diverse audiences, using tools like Excel, analysis, Power BI and GIS

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in spatial information systems, GIS, data science or related discipline.
• Knowledge and experience using professional spatial products and tools.
• Technical experience with data integration and asset information technologies such as SQL, FME, IBM Maximo, web mapping, data reporting and visualisation, Power BI, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse spatial and non-spatial data end-to-end, including validation and processing.
• Produce clear reports and visualisations and support data-driven decisions.
• Improve data processes and systems; resolve technical issues and support stakeholders with timely guidance.
