Job summary

ConnectSydney is seeking an Asset Data Officer to join our Rockdale team for a fixed-term 12-month role with hybrid working. You will ensure accurate asset records across internal and client systems, support data handover, and maintain data integrity through validation and cleaning while coordinating with stakeholders.

The role involves updating asset management platforms, providing guidance on system capabilities, and delivering data insights to enable informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in using desktop GIS for asset data capture.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes relevant to Specifications, Standards in Civil Construction and/or Civil Engineering.
  • Understanding of Asset Management principles is highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical skills – understanding of data standards, database structures and how they operate.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in process analysis and documentation.
  • Results driven, ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all project records comply with internal and external asset records requirement (Service Provider Asset Data Pack Submission).
  • Updating internal Asset Management Systems as well as facilitating the transfer of data to client systems (RAMs/CDC/SCATS).
  • Coordinating between delivery teams and the asset handover team to ensure effective record keeping is maintained throughout the project to ensure seamless asset handover.
  • Identify improvements in record keeping capabilities to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Update tracking registers upon submission of Gate 5 packs.
  • Development and implementation of training to users when required.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the key stakeholders.
  • Promote open and transparent communication as appropriate to encourage understanding of all stakeholder requirements and drivers.
  • Collate, capture, and digitize asset data (location and attributes) into systems like GIS and asset management systems.
  • Provide specialist advice on the capabilities of GIS and asset management systems to other staff.
  • Perform data cleaning to improve the integrity of information held in databases.
  • Analyse data and present insights for decision-makers.

Job Description Summary

ConnectSydney are on the hunt for a new Asset Data Officer to join the team at our Rockdale office! ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. As an Asset Data Officer you will ensure an accurate and compliant asset records across internal and client systems, support seamless data handover, and maintain data integrity through validation and cleaning. The role involves managing updates in asset management platforms, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing guidance on system capabilities to improve processes and enable informed decision-making. This fixed term 12-month role offers hybrid working from our Rockdale office.

Key Responsibilities
