Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an AI Architect in Sydney to own a named portfolio of customers, shaping their AI strategy from pre-sales to production, and driving measurable business impact.

You will lead technical strategy, collaborate with deployment and security teams, and guide customers through quantifying value and achieving scalable adoption. This hybrid role offers relocation assistance and a 3-day office pattern in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as architecture, engineering, or technical account leadership.
• Experience guiding enterprise organizations from evaluation through production adoption.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical and business leaders and with hands-on engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and long-term relationship owner for a named portfolio of customers and pre-sales prospects.
• Own the technical account plan, milestones, adoption priorities, and expansion opportunities.
• Lead discovery with executives and technical teams to identify and prioritize use cases with business impact.
• Develop Applied AI Architectures spanning models, data, security, and deployment.
