Job summary

Department of Health Tasmania is seeking an experienced Senior Officer to work with Commonwealth funded aged care services within the Tasmanian Health Service to meet contractual requirements from the Australian Government.

Permanent full-time position based in Tasmania with 76 hours per fortnight; role involves policy development, program management and stakeholder engagement to drive reform under Aged Care Act 2024.

Qualifications

• Significant expertise and experience in policy and service development, data and financial analysis, research, evaluation and review.
• Proven project and/or change management skills including planning, managing risk, coordinating resources, interpersonal relations, time management and the ability to influence people.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of program management and understanding of the aged care programmes in these contexts.
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively contribute to a high performing team, including the ability to be adaptable and flexible to achieve results in an environment of change, ambiguity and pressure.
• Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write complex documents within short timeframes under minimal supervision.
• Ability to effectively represent the organisation with the authority to successfully negotiate and conclude outcomes that meet the specific requirements and program and service delivery objectives.
