Job summary

Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a Senior Advisor - Safety and Quality (Aged Care Reform Unit) to coordinate statewide safety, quality and performance reporting and to support governance improvements across aged care services.

You will lead development and review of clinical governance frameworks, advise on risk, accreditation processes, and ensure alignment with the Aged Care Act 2024 and NSQHS standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and aged care governance.
• Experience in safety and quality activities within health or aged care settings and implementing improvements.
• Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory frameworks (NSQHS, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statewide safety, quality, and performance reporting for monitoring and compliance.
• Develop, implement and review statewide clinical governance frameworks and governance tools.
• Provide advice to strengthen governance, risk management and quality systems.
