Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking a Senior Advisor – Learning Design to shape contemporary learning and capability development. You will partner with stakeholders, ensure solutions align with priorities and regulatory requirements, and strengthen CFA’s people and operational capability.

The role spans learning design, curriculum development, emergency management, project management and RTO-related activities, in a dynamic environment focused on service delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in a relevant field and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent and an understanding of the arrangements, standards, and environment of an RTO (advantageous).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with partners and engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to inform, design and improve learning solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable and achievable work plans, aligning priorities, resources and activities to deliver effective outcomes.
• Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and written communication ability including process writing, editorial skills and development of materials aligned to curriculum, regulatory and/or legislative requirements. Ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
• Proven ability to work within a project framework with skills and experience to manage multiple and complex projects concurrently.
• Experience in digital learning design and development, including the application of learning technologies, LMS platforms and digital solutions to enhance training delivery.
• Experience in Quality assurance, continuous improvement and assessment validation within a regulated training environment.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in emergency management operational environments, applied research, environmental scanning, complex policy, project management, learning design, and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Shape contemporary learning and capability development that supports CFA's people and operational service delivery.
• Build strategic partnerships, provide trusted specialist advice and ensure learning solutions align with CFA's strategic priorities, regulatory requirements and legislation.
• Lead across learning design, curriculum development and related areas to strengthen capability across CFA.
