Job summary

Macmahon is seeking a dedicated HSEQ professional to provide leadership and support across the Greenbushes site in Western Australia. You will drive compliance with company standards, manage site risk, and report on safety performance.

Ideal candidates bring a Diploma in HSE/WHS, First Aid, a C Class driver's licence, ICAM-; preferred experience in mining. You’ll join a team committed to safety, continuous improvement and operating excellence.

Qualifications

• Diploma in HSE/WHS required.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• C Class Driver's Licence (unrestricted).
• Incident investigation qualification (ICAM preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in a HSE role, ideally in mining/heavy industry.
• Knowledge of safety standards, reporting and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HSEQ activities across Greenbushes site.
• Support implementation and monitoring of HSEQ systems and site plans.
• Coordinate inspections, audits and performance monitoring for compliance.
• Provide HSEQ advice, training and support to workers and contractors.
• Maintain and promote proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Provide HSEQ leadership and support across Greenbushes, ensuring compliance with company standards, managing site risk and reporting requirements, and fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and facilitate safety interaction programs with operational departments.
• Support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Macmahon HSEQ Management System and site-specific HSEQ plans.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, audits and HSEQ performance monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
• Provide HSEQ advice, training and support to employees, contractors and site leadership.
• Maintain HSEQ reporting systems and promote a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• Recognised qualification in HSE/WHS (minimum Diploma).
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
• Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM preferred).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a HSE role, preferably within the mining industry or a similar heavy industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, reporting procedures and risk management practices.
• Experience with safety management and reporting systems (INX preferred).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
