Job summary

Macmahon is seeking a skilled heavy mobile plant technician to perform diagnostics, repairs and regular servicing on our fleet at the Byerwen Project in Australia. You will work with an experienced team, uphold safety standards, and contribute to reliable equipment performance on site.

Applicants should hold a mobile plant trade certificate and have proven experience with excavators, graders, loaders and trucks.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised mobile plant trade certificate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy mobile plant diagnostics and repair.
• Commitment to safety and quality work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy mining equipment.
• Repair and servicing of excavators, graders, loaders and trucks per OEM standards.
• Coordinate with production/planning teams to schedule work and ensure uptime.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering work in line with operational schedules, providing timely and accurate reporting, and supporting the achievement of site objectives at the Byerwen Project. You will coordinate and assist in carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on mobile plant, while managing breakdowns and coordinating field shutdowns to ensure machinery reliability, safety compliance, and optimal operational efficiency. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll champion a strong safety culture, contribute to operational success, and demonstrate the Macmahon values in everything you do.

Responsibility

• Diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy mining equipment including:
• Excavators – 9800,9400,996 and under 600T
• Graders, loaders, trucks
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures
• Support strong equipment availability and safe, reliable performance
• Speak‑up and contribute to our culture; everyone home safe, every swing
• Work closely with production and planning teams to schedule work
