Job summary

Macmahon is seeking a Senior Advisor – HSEQ to join our Greenbushes mine site in Western Australia. You will ensure effective deployment of the HSEQ Management Plan, mentor site teams and provide guidance on HSEQ systems while engaging with clients on WHS activities.

Bring mining HSEQ experience and an Occupational Health and Safety qualification, plus WA Mines Safety Act knowledge. Responsibilities include risk assessments, incident investigations, site inspections and overseeing corrective

About the Role

Senior Advisor – HSEQ for their Greenbushes mine site, reporting directly to the HSEQT Manager, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQ Management Plan and provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSEQ Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQ Management Plan.
• Provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSEQ Management Systems.
• Engage with clients on WHS activities and monitor site-based lead and lag indicators.
• Assist with accident and incident investigations as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments to support operational safety.
• Oversee site corrective action and hazard reporting processes.
• Perform site inspections and audits according to the annual safety planner and activity planners.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous mining experience in a similar role, accompanied by qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA) and similar legislation in other states.
• Experience in HSEQ management systems and able to implement HSEQ management plan deliverables.
• Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.
• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Current Manual “C” Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent.
