Job summary

Canberra Health Services is seeking a Senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to support health, wellbeing and cultural needs across the ACT region. The role is identified for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons and offers social, emotional and wellbeing support within a trauma-informed, person-centred care model.

The position is part-time and permanent, located at Canberra Health Services with access to flexible work conditions, salary packaging and onsite

Qualifications

• Identified position under the Public Sector Management Act for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
• Requires pre-employment Working with Vulnerable People clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide social, emotional and wellbeing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers and their families.
• Help strengthen connections between communities and Canberra Health Services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes and patient experience.
