Job summary

ACT Health in Canberra Health Services is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison and Administration Officer to support care navigation, advocacy and coordination across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Hub.

You will deliver high‑quality admin and coordination support to the Manager and team, including diary management, credentialing, office management, reporting and health promotion activities; assist with policy development and service reporting.

Qualifications

• Identified position under Section 27(4) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994; Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person only.
• Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
• Compliance with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality administrative and coordination support to the Manager and team, including diary/calendar management and credentialling administration.
• Office management, secretariat support, correspondence management and data collection.
• Support health promotion activities and events, policy/procedure development, and service reporting.
• Assist with developing and strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communities.
• Contribute to care planning, cultural safety, and ensuring culturally safe, inclusive care across services.
