Job summary

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Lead will play a pivotal role in embedding community priorities into health workforce reform within the ACT. Based in Canberra, you will work with the Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer to drive culturally grounded policy development and implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience building and sustaining relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders
• High level policy advice on health workforce approaches
• Ability to scope, develop, implement and evaluate projects based on cultural determinants of health

Responsibilities

• Lead systemic workforce reform aligning with ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Action Plan
• Provide culturally grounded policy advice and governance support
• Collaborate with the ACT First Nations Health Workforce Collaborative and HCSD
• Support alignment of policies with community priorities and cultural practices
