Job summary

Queensland Police Service is seeking a Protective Services professional to support state government buildings and precincts across Queensland, including Brisbane. You will investigate issues, allocate resources, and prepare detailed reports while liaising with stakeholders to improve service delivery.

Leadership and training of PSG staff will be part of your responsibilities, with a focus on safety and compliance with the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Medical Certificate.
• Desirable operational experience in Protective Services or related roles.

Protective Services Group provides static and mobile security services to state government departments. Our employees are highly motivated, professional members of the Queensland Police Service and provide a valuable service to community safety in State Government buildings and precincts. Our employees work across Queensland in locations such as Brisbane, North and South Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Ipswich and Toowoomba.

Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Investigate and review operational practices and processes, staff and client issues.
• Allocate resources (human and physical) to meet operational and administrative requirements.
• Research, analyse and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to assist in the resolution of identified issues with a focus on the continuous improvement of service delivery.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to assist with planning and tasking coordination of PSG resources to support operational requirements.
• Liaise with staff and clients on matters relating to the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act together with the Standards and Procedures of Protective Services.
• Actively contribute to the development and implementation of Protective Services Operational Plans.
• Provide leadership, supervision and training to staff in the areas of Protective Services operations and procedures, client service, performance management and development, equity, and workplace health and safety.

Role Requirements:

• Current First Aid Medical Certificate
• Desirable operational experience - familiarity with Protective Services Group and TransLink roles and responsibilities
