Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a professional Security Officer - Rapid Response to deliver high-quality security services across retail branches, banks, mobile ATMs and events in the Parramatta region and Sydney. You will perform patrols, access control, incident response and liaison with emergency services, while maintaining a professional customer-focused presence.

This full-time role requires a Security Licence (Classification 1A), First Aid (with CPR) and ability to redeploy quickly

Qualifications

• Must hold Security Licence (Classification 1A) and First Aid with CPR validity.
• Police Check clearance is required.
• Frontline security experience and customer service mindset preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of customers and staff at all locations.
• Respond to aggressive incidents and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct patrols and security checks.
• Perform alarm response and incident management.
• Maintain control room and site security operations.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and security systems.
• Identify suspicious behaviour and maintain surveillance records.
• Escort visitors and monitor movement of goods and deliveries.
• Respond to security breaches and coordinate with emergency services.

We are seeking professional and customer-facing Security Officer - Rapid Response to deliver high-quality security services across retail branches, mobile ATMs, Banks, and Events. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe and secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, incident response, and stakeholder engagement.

Play a key role in keeping people, assets, and facilities safe. As a Security Officer, you’ll deliver frontline security through patrols, monitoring, access control, and incident response—while always providing a professional and customer-focused presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and security of customers and staff at all retail locations.
• Respond to any aggressive customer incidents and required to follow the established escalation procedure
• Conduct routine patrols and security checks
• Perform alarm response and incident management
• Maintain control room and site security operations
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents
• Maintain accurate surveillance records
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries
• Respond to security breaches and alarms
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination
• Liaise with emergency services when required
• Complete accurate reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations

About You

• Must be able to redeploy between branches within 15 minutes of notification during business hours across Parramatta & St Marys
• Strong interpersonal and deescalation skills
• Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding)
• Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity) withcurrent CPR Certificate(1 year validity)
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Confidence using security systems and MS Office
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
