Job summary

Wilson Security is expanding in Mackay, QLD, offering casual security roles across a range of sites. You will handle gatehouse duties, CCTV monitoring, and patrolling to mitigate risks while supporting tenants and contractors.

Training and development opportunities are provided, with benefits and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have solid customer service skills, be flexible for a rotating roster, and hold First Aid & CPR.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and proactive mindset.
• Willing to cover rotational rosters including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work well in a team or autonomously and report hazards.
• Australian citizen or hold unlimited work rights.
• Demonstrated ability to write reports and use security systems.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors and clients.
• Gatehouse duties and monitoring CCTV and access control.
• Conduct building patrols and report safety risks.
• Assist tenants and facilities, manage deliveries and dock access.
• Respond to emergencies and support contractor activities.
• Ad-hoc duties as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Casual Opportunities and ADHOC available
• 6 hour shifts available across 7 days
• Pay level subject to specific site

Wilson Security is expanding in the state of QLD, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the region.

This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.

These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing strong Customer Service solutions to visitors, contractors & client
• Gatehouse duties
• Proactively monitoring CCTV and Access Control Systems
• Conducting building patrols to actively report and mitigate security & safety risk
• Identifying and reporting hazards and building faults for rectification
• Providing support to tenants and Facilities
• Managing contractors and deliveries through dock management
• Responding to emergency situations
• Contractor management duties
• Ad-hoc duties

• Australian Citizen or hold Unlimited Work Rights

• Demonstrated ability in the use of Computers and Security related systems (Access Control, CCTV, Microsoft Programmes)
• Availability to and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods
• Crowd Control endorsement will be highly desirable
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
