Job summary

Wilson Security is expanding in Queensland, offering part-time and casual security roles across Emerald, Rockhampton and Gladstone. Roles include guarding, gatehouse and drug/alcohol testing with SHSSIA award rates from Level 4 and above.

Positions support a diverse roster, training across multiple locations and opportunities to grow within a responsive team and operations structure.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Willing to step up into other roles as required.
• Ability to work in a team or autonomously and on a rotational roster.
• Australian Citizen or hold Unlimited Work Rights.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong customer service to visitors, contractors and clients.
• Perform gatehouse duties and monitor CCTV and access control systems.
• Conduct building patrols and report hazards or faults.
• Support tenants and Facilities; manage contractors and deliveries.
• Respond to emergency situations; duty managers support.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Location: Various locations across Emerald, Rockhampton and Gladstone
• Various roles available across guarding, gatehouse and drug and alcohol testing
• Opportunities across multiple locations, with a variety of shifts and hours available

• SSIA award rates from Level 4 and above

Wilson Security is expanding in the Queensland, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the region.

This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.

These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing strong Customer Service solutions to visitors, contractors & client
• Gatehouse duties
• Proactively monitoring CCTV and Access Control Systems
• Conducting building patrols to actively report and mitigate security & safety risk
• Identifying and reporting hazards and building faults for rectification
• Providing support to tenants and Facilities
• Managing contractors and deliveries through dock management
• Responding to emergency situations
• Contractor management duties
• Ad-hoc duties

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports
• Demonstrated ability in the use of Computers and Security related systems (Access Control, CCTV, Microsoft Programmes)
• Availability to and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods
• Crowd Control endorsement will be highly desirable
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
