Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking professional Security Officers to deliver high-quality security services in Sydney CBD. You will patrol, monitor, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.

This part-time role offers day shifts (0800-1600, 3 days a week) with SSIA Level3 pay. You will work in Australia’s secure environments, support emergency responses, and ensure compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding) is required.
• First Aid Certificate with CPR validity.
• Clear Australian Police Check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in observing, reporting, and problem solving.
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control.
• Proficient with MS Office and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and security checks.
• Perform alarm response and incident management.
• Maintain control room and site security operations.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents.
• Maintain accurate surveillance records.
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel.
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries.
• Respond to security breaches and alarms.
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination.
• Liaise with emergency services when required.
• Complete accurate reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.

About You

• Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding)

• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
• Strong communicationand customer service skills
• Excellent observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Confidence using security systems and MS Office
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
