Job summary

Peninsula Hot Springs Pty is seeking a Security & Guest Support Officer to ensure safety for guests, staff and the facility. You will follow SOPs, handle security issues and assist with first aid when required.

Role involves patrolling, incident reporting and liaising with emergency services. The ideal candidate holds a Victoria security license, with a preference for a Certificate 2 in Security Operations and checks in place to support ongoing guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Valid Victoria Security Guard license
• Desirable Certificate 2 in Security Operations
• Experience as Security Guard or Crowd Controller in large facilities
• Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual handling
• Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol Peninsula Hot Springs property including bathing facilities and car park
• Investigate irregularities and guard against unlawful behaviour
• Support in guest management
• Maintain an activity log and prepare surveillance reports
• Attend to incidents and emergencies and follow Duty Manager directions
• Coordinate with Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria as needed
• Complete detailed incident reports for the shift
• Monitor CCTV systems
• Support operations during busy periods to maintain guest experience

Peninsula Hot Springs is a multi-award winning and iconic geothermal mineral springs and wellness destination. Located on the serene Mornington Peninsula, our expansive wellness spa is nestled amongst the natural landscape, offering a range of unique, luxurious treatments to help our guests relax and reconnect in nature.

About the Role:

The Security & Guest Support Officer is a key role which will ensure the security and safety of all guests, employees and the facility by maintaining and following all company standard operating procedures, while working within all state and federal laws.

Our successful applicant will maintain a high standard of customer service for guests and perform and attend to any security and safety issues (including first aid administration if required) as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol PHS property, buildings, and grounds area, including bathing facilities, glamping, car park, maintenance compound and patrolling the property boundaries, documenting any breeches that may occur
• Investigate and report on irregularities and guard against unlawful behaviour from guests, acting in line with PHS processes and procedures to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise
• Support in Guest Management
• Maintain an activity log and prepare surveillance reports
• Attend to all incidents, security risks and emergencies, and follow the direction of the Duty Manager
• Communicate with and escape serious incidents with Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria where necessary
• Complete detailed incident reports diligently and efficiently, documenting any incidences that have occured throughout your shift
• Monitor CCTV systems
• Provide additional support to all operational teams if required during busy times to ensure the guest experience is maintained consistently to a high standard

Our Successful Applicant will have:

• Valid Security Guard license in state of Victoria
• Certificate 2 in Security Operations (desired)
• Previous experience as a Security Guard, Crowd Controller or similar within a large facility
• Working knowledge of basic security techniques
• Current Working With Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)
• Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Physically fit to perform the role and capable of manual handling duties
• Strong commitment and responsiveness to guest needs
• Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
