Job summary

ISS is seeking vigilant, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be entrusted with safeguarding people and property across a range of client sites.

You’ll provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, and help create safe environments where people feel confident and protected. Working 12‑hour shifts over a 36‑hour week, you’ll monitor access, patrol premises, respond to alarms, operate communications, and prepare incident

Qualifications

• Valid Security Licence (state-specific)
• Current Driver's Licence (preferred)
• First Aid qualification (highly regarded)
• Experience in security, customer service, or team-based environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional and decisive under pressure

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorise entry and exit of staff, visitors, and contractors
• Patrol premises to detect and deter unauthorised access or suspicious activity
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and incidents with professionalism and urgency
• Operate communication systems and maintain situational awareness
• Inspect and adjust security systems and equipment
• Prepare accurate daily reports and incident documentation
• Promote a safe and secure environment through proactive engagement
• Act in accordance with site-specific SOPs and ISS policies
• Perform concierge duties (if applicable), including front desk management and visitor coordination

Candidates must be available to work a 36-hour week, consisting of 12-hour shifts.
