Job summary

MSS Security is seeking Full time - Night shift Security Emergency Officers to join our team at mining sites in Moranbah and Dysart. Local candidates in Moranbah or DIDO within 600 km radius encouraged to apply.

You will be part of the Emergency Response Team, responding to security incidents and onsite emergencies and contributing to a safe, secure environment. Duties include patrols, incident reporting, first aid, and coordination with residents and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Must hold Class 1 QLD Security License (Unarmed).
• First Aid and CPR certifications required (HLTAID011/010/009).
• OH&S White Card and a valid Class C driver’s licence in QLD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols, welfare checks, and security escorts.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other emergencies.
• Monitor site activities, enforce village rules, and report safety concerns.
• Provide first aid, complete incident reports, and support emergency operations.
• Inspect and maintain emergency equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with residents, contractors, and site personnel.

About the Role

MSS Security is looking for Full time - Night shift Security Emergency Officers to join our team at our mining sites in Moranbah and Dysart. This position is for local candidates residing in Moranbah or DIDO candidates living within a 600 km radius.
As part of the Emergency Response Team, you will respond to security and emergency incidents, maintain a safe and secure environment, and support the effective resolution of onsite emergencies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct foot patrols, welfare checks, and security escorts throughout the village.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other emergency situations.
• Monitor site activities, enforce village rules, and report incidents and safety concerns.
• Provide first aid, complete incident reports, and support emergency response operations.
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with residents, contractors, and site personnel while delivering excellent customer service.

Skills & Experience

• Full Australian Working Rights
• Certificate II in Security Operations
• Class 1 QLD Security License (Unarmed)
• Class C manual driver's licence for QLD
• HLTAID011- Provide First Aid
• HLTAID010- Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
• HLTAID009- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• OH&S Construction Induction White Card
• Ability to successfully pass a National Police and Criminal history check
• Ability to successfully pass a Full medical and fitness assessment, including a Drug & Alcohol screening
• Must currently live within a 600 km radius of Moranbah.
